The “nation displacement theory” was proposed by Ibn Khaldun as an explanation to the cycle of cultural, racial or theological change in geographical domains. Accordingly with this theory, each tribe or nation is ruled by elites which make a nation decay as a result of the incremental usurpation of the people rights and wealth done by these elites. For that sake a nation may have various elite groups simultaneously , that work in harmony or in competition with each other. Those groups some times are embodied in cartels, such as the energy industry, the media industry, the big five industry, the pharma industry or the infamous “Military Industrial Complex“. The elite that orchestrates the rules of engagements of the other elites or cartels is the lawmaking elite and judicial elite.
The tyranny of the State starts with the direct involvement of the State in commercial and economic affairs and causes the decline of the arts and the contraction of trade, production and specialization. With it, the economic surplus declines. The population would seek an alternative location to the former cities and the centers of productions. When the cities are depopulated, the decline in the demand for goods and services would generate a decline in the civilized mode of life, including civilized economic life. The whole country “starts to revert back to more primitive life.”

The so called “Democracies” or “Republics” are not immune to elitist usurpation, albeit they claim to protect individual rights. For example, in the United States lawmakers and probably some judges increase wealth using outrageous salaries and benefits while some of them engage in influence peddling, lobbying and insider trade information. This preferential behavior that mocks the “right for happiness” is a result of the fact that those lawmakers stonewall any efficient check and balances mechanism when it comes to the pocket of their friends and families. This injustice can be evidenced by the stock portfolio of lawmakers’ friends and families.
The art of Awareness Engineering in this context refers to the art of gaslighting Elite usurpation by using public discourse, coverup legislation and international and national animosity propagation. Animosity propagation is the driving force behind the DNC and the GOP discourse.
Prolonged state tyranny is likely to be facing a revolt or an overtake by another state whenever government apparatus exaggerates in increasing its power and indulgences on expense of their subjects. Overextended usurpation creates negative sentiment of the subjects who in turn are discouraged to fight for their regime or produce goods or pay taxes realizing that the apparatus is exploiting them in an unfair way. Another collapsing ingredient comes to light when elite groups fight with each other for a more convenient usurping distribution. Such are the cases in military coups or judicial entrapments or lynching between elite members.
The missing link in Ibn Khaldun analysis is the understating of Cancel Culture Tribalism role in society. CCT is the tool that extends the lifetime of the apparatus and strengthens its cohesiveness. The cancel culture propagated by the regime removes the opposition and rebellion risk because dissidents might be afraid of being cornered to a dangerous position while non dissidents buy into government gaslighting campaign even when the apparatus is oppressing them in plain sight.
On the other hand, Ibn Khaldun proposed the theocratic state solution similar to a caliphate that would overcome an eventual decay of a nation or tribe. He proposes a form of government similar to a caliphate that might restrain apparatus decadence and tyranny. He argued that a state that cares about the afterlife and not current indulgences does not decay. He didn’t take into account the centuries of bloodshed within and between the caliphates that was triggered by disagreements on the interpretations of the Koran, heredity issues or when subjects realized that clergy and Caliphs were using religion to indulge themselves or increase their power on expense of their subjects. Those injustices and different interpretations made people resist or join a new emerging Caliphate, such as the wars conducted by the Mamelukes, Seljuks, Berbers, Shias, Abassids and so on.
In that regards one can argue the theocracies prolong the life of a state using cancel culture as well, since when a religion targets and demeans “infidels” or other religions this mere act by itself gives more power and control for the ruler through its clergy. The populous buys into the rhetoric based on an interpretation of divine gospel or divine law either because of fear or for the Stockholm Syndrome where a captive chooses overtime to believe and fight for what the captor believes.
The print revolution, the media revolution and the internet revolution gave the apparatus a tool of overcoming distances and time to convey their narratives efficiently and enforce their law. The most efficient way of dissemination of narrative and hate against outsiders in a tribalist environment is “outing” a characteristic of the target (true or false) that is suited to be “cancelcultured”. When subjects use their feelings instead of their brains, specially in mob and social media environments, they tend to believe and protect the narrative even more fervently then the rulers intentionally were counting on.
For “Awareness Engineering” to be effective in modern civilized environments, the government needs to work with the academy and media. All of them have a crucial role in the gaslighting and rewriting history campaigns by taking events out of context and fabricating and proliferating media hit jobs in a similar manner. The documentation of history is done by individuals that are part of tribalist groups within the academy, military and government who withhold certain agendas and engage in coverups. They live in an ever expanding echo chamber which is a recruiting machine of people indoctrinated by the values their predecessors, fraternity, family or friends disseminate.
So called history scholars and government experts use many events that can’t be scientifically proven or disproved in the full context, even when using secondary and primary sources. Basically, one can see that they engineer similar narratives in their echo chambers and propagate these narratives in the open using repetitiveness and out of context interpretation of events. Awareness Engineering propagation efficiency depends on deceit, timing, repetition and by planting agents in the audience, government or mob.
As soon as an individual crosses the lines of a certain cancel culture narrative, she/he is immediately pushed out of all the groups with a shaming campaign or targeted tax audit. Indoctrinated mob has no compassion, because social pressure, and has no violence limitations which will lynch or put the knee on the targeted neck with no quarters opportunity until the target submits or signs the admission papers that the intelligence community or indoctrinated prosecutors or the lynching media forces them to sign.
In 2012 the Washington Post found that in the lead up to the 2008 meltdown had least 34 lawmakers from both sides of the aisle, changed portions of their portfolios,166 times within two business days of speaking with administration officials. So many of these lawmakers are making loads of money while the economy is melting down around them.
