Big Tech companies in the area of communications and social media play an ever increasing role in our lives. They have the ability to store, analyze or sell almost every bit of digital communication metadata and while making huge profits with advertising or information routing based on users and customer behavior or political affiliation.

The system enables alerting on irregularities and is used to track and indoctrinate what the People Republic of China policing authorities consider politically risky. A mature version is already used in order to indoctrinate and surveil the Uyghurs in the region of Xinjiang.
The indoctrination and surveillance already used and proven, may be a first step in a roadmap of implementing digital intrusion nationwide and overseas. The system as a self learning analyzing and gauging loyalty to the party in various areas. The system enables digital repression and subduing minorities as well as any person that some bureaucrat or algorithm “wants” to target and put under surveillance for legitimate or illegitimate purposes.
Government and media are not stressing enough the possibility that the s Surveillance System is just a proof of concept (pilot) or a first step of using Artificial Intelligence and big data in other places inside China and out.

In this way they have an advantage over small competitors and a leverage on politics or social agenda. While doing so and leveraging this information, they may takeover potential competitors or be involved in antitrust activities.
