Content demotion is a process were platforms are banning or giving less
neutral and positive exposure of news, people and commentaries of politics views that are not aligned with the management or shareholders views. For that purpose they can change algorithms or put more people who will track and try to find more posts of their political adversaries while not doing the same with people who support their views. These people try to find alleged infringements of terms of service and disregard infringements which suit their ideological bias. An indirect way of doing that is hiring lawyers that create or change “Term of Service” accordingly with their whims. Also contracting and promoting workers that show a culture that is politically correct with the management political orientation. In some cases workers who are not ideologically in line with management, political commissars who usually work for the HR department are taking charge of firing or demoting “unwanted workers” with a fake legal excuse.

Likewise, Obama’s administration made a political demotion and promotion in the DOJ and Intelligence community key positions accrodingly with their political affiliation or DNC donations.

is an expression of Content demotion. There was no equal suspending of the extreme opposite. The company is alienation might convert Facebook from platform to publisher, which makes them liable for content removing of the shield of section 230 of the Communication Decency Act. A platform that converts itself to a publisher by content demotion shows that it has the resources and means of developing algorithms and workforce for checking and filtering content of political expressions instead of banning hate crimes or defamation and holocaust deniers. The biased use of resources to promote one political view over the other instead of filtering criminal expressions makes them liable for the content.
